The Galla family: book-sellers by profession
The Company was founded by Giovanni Galla in the historical centre of Vicenza in 1880. Galla is the oldest bookshop in Vicenza and one of the few independent bookshops in Italy to be owned and operated for more than a century by the same family. In accordance with older customs, the bookshop sold not just books, but also many other articles such as stationery items, writing instruments, prints and lithographic prints, scholastic material, toys and religious items.
